What is burrata?
Burrata is a dairy product, as already mentioned, typical of Puglia. It is a stretched cured cheese very similar to mozzarella but filled with an exquisite and creamy filling with “stracciatella from Puglia”. (cream with thin slice of mozzarella paste).
Our Apulian burrata has the PGI mark: Protected Geographical Indication produced with 100% Italian milk.
The IGP mark distinguishes the quality agricultural and food products typical of a specific geographical area.
In fact, the IGP burrata is produced respecting precise rules dictated by the specification: raw materials, packaging, production phases, characteristics of the wrapping and filling, ingredients, etc.
This means that you will have the certainty of tasting the real Apulian burrata and not an imitation.
How to eat burrata?
The best way to enjoy Oilalà Apulian burrata is to eat it as it is with a drizzle of Coratina Oilalà extra virgin olive oil, a few cherry tomatoes and some fresh basil leaves.
Despite this, you can also consume the Apulian burrata in richer and more particular preparations such as: pizzas, first courses, side dishes, etc.
